Empowered LS12

Privacy policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information the EmpoweredLS12 website collects, why, and what happens to it.

Who we are

This website is run by EmpoweredLS12, a women-only strength and coaching studio in Leeds (Upper Wortley, LS12). You can contact us about anything in this policy by emailing james@tarkawebdesign.com. Our current contact details are always on our contact page.

What we collect and why

When you send us a message

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It is stored on the website and emailed to us so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.

When you book a session

If you book a tester session online, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number, the session and time you choose, and anything you write in the notes. We use this to confirm your booking, to contact you about it and to run the session. It is stored on the website and emailed to us, and we keep it until we delete it.

When you pay online

If you pay for a membership online, we keep a record of your order: your name, email address and phone number, what you paid for and how much. Your card payment is handled by Stripe, a payment provider. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us or this website.

Who looks after your information

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process this information on our behalf and deliver the website’s email. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

Cookies

The website sets two small cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which lets the website remember you as you move from page to page (for example while you make a booking), and a security cookie, which protects the forms on the website from misuse.

The website counts its own visitors without using cookies.

If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags in future, a banner will ask you first, and nothing from them will be set unless you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To do any of these, email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.

Staging

This is your staging site — it is not your live website. Changes land here first so you can check them before the public sees them.
